8:30-9:00 – Arrival & Unpack: Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are targeted in the morning.

 

9:00-9:30 – Morning Meeting & Social Studies: Morning meeting is about being together. Topics covered may include calendar, daily events, facts about friends, reading aloud, passions topics, and current events.

 

9:30-10:00 – Snack & Math: Snack is a time for peer socialization. Mathematical concepts are incorporated from the foundations (more/less) to the advanced (division).

 

10:00-10:30 – Individual Floortime: Each child has several opportunities to receive 1:1 individualized floortime sessions to build on initiation, symbolic play, and logical thinking.

 

10:30-11:00 – Group Reading: Each classroom works on a version of a fairy tale or folk tale with content and symbolism. Comprehension is stressed over memorization.

 

11:00-11:30 – Small Group Academics or Thinking Goes To School: Thinking Goes to School is a visual-spatial program that focuses on visual-cognitive games, crucial skills for literacy and mathematics.

 

11:30-12:15 – Lunch/Activities of Daily Living(ADLs):Lunch is a time to increase peer awareness, social skills and independence through Activities of Daily Living.

 

12:15-12:30 – Sensory Movement: Classes have the opportunity to use the roof top play area as well as the hallways to set up motor planning movement activities.
