Zach presented a case study from his training at the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Clinic at NYU. The entire music therapy department, Stacey, Zach, Anne and Pete had the opportunity to present, “Sharing an Experience, DIR© and Group Music Therapy” highlighting how improvisational music therapy used within the DIR© model can provide important ways for students to interact with their peers through meaningful shared music experiences.
Attendees expressed their appreciation for being able to be introduced to this work as well as continue to learn from the work as this is the sixth year music therapists from the Rebecca School have presented the collaboration of DIR© and improvisational music therapy.
